- Font
- Specifies the default font used in the help viewer navigation elements, such as the table of contents or index pane. This setting has no effect on the font of the HTML files.
- Size
- Specifies the default font size used in the help viewer navigation elements, such as the table of contents or index pane. This setting has no effect on the font size of the HTML files.
- Id (Microsoft Help 2.0 only)
- Specifies the ID of the compiled help file.
- File Version (Microsoft Help 2.0 only)
- Specifies the version number of the compiled help file. The version must be in the format

, or X.X X.X
, where X
represents a decimal number.
- Stop word file
- Specifies the path of the stop-word file. The stop-word file is a text file that contains a list of words that are ignored when doing keyword searches. By specifying a stop word file you can reduce the time that it takes to perform a full text search because certain words are not indexed. These are usually commonly used words or numbers that do not increase the accuracy of the search, such as the word 'the'.
- Create full-text search index
- Select this option to generate help files with a full-text search index.
- Create separate index (.HxI) file (Microsoft Help 2.0 only)
- Select this option to generate a separate index file.
- Generate document type definitions (Microsoft Help 2.0 only)
- Select this option to generate document type definitions in all MS-Help 2.0 support files. Clear this option if you generate collection-level files.
- Support enhanced de‑compilation (Microsoft Help 1.0 only)
- Select this option to support enhanced de‑compilation of the compiled help file.
